And I’m not sure how to navigate through it. I have an iPhone X. I got the companion but what is the log in page mean. There are no instructions on this. Please help. I don’t see any instructions on the actual app either. 🙃-I really want to play. I am so confused. Please help. Deme

Some of the creatures described in this guide is sometimes disturbing but sometimes very interesting. Got chills from reading it!

This is the first interesting and deeply well thought out game I have come across in a few years. The concept really makes you think, just the right amount of creepy, based on Scandinavian folklore, gorgeous artwork and very very very unique gameplay. This is the exact type of game I've been searching for! The ONLY thing I didn't like was how short it was, especially for a paid app. I beat the entire walk in just a few short hours, I really didn't want it to end! I hope I see additional year walks come out because I'd love to continue the journey! Still giving 5 stars because I was so impressed with the game.

Trust me, if you download Year Walk, you need to get this app. It will help you get the “better” ending (if you can call it that). It also provides backstory and mythology. And it’s free!

Not sure why, but I could download the main app but not the companion. It keeps failing on me. Frustrating because it appears there's something important in the app.

Exactly what you want in a companion for such an app as year walk. It doesn't try to rival, distract, or take away from the masterpiece that is year walk; but it adds to the Beauty, explaining and defining mystical creature that you encounter. 5 stars from me

The first time I played through this game everything worked perfectly - now the companion crashes immediately after being clicked on. I've tried deleting and reloading it on both my phone and my iPad to no avail - someone heeeeelp!

This is actually a second part of the main game. It's more like complimentary piece and it helps resolve the unresolved to the first one. You need to enter password on the upper right corner to see more story.

You need this with the main game. The companion app is perfect just like the game! Love it!

The text is very small on my iPhone 5, and there does not seem to be an option to change the font size. This makes the companion, which almost entirely text-based, nearly impossible for me to interact comfortably with without the aid of a magnifying glass. As traveling around with a magnifying glass is impractical I'm disappointed in this purchase. I had the same problem with Sailor's Dream; lovely game but the developers need to be considerate of folks with less than perfect vision. Mine isn't bad, but even with my corrected vision the text is hard to read.

Was already an excellent game as it was, but the meta-game aspect, à la Meryl's codec from MGS, was absolutely brilliant. These guys are seriously talented storytellers and developers. Simogo has a lifelong fan in me.

Eerie, creepy, dark, fun, puzzling, cool. Need I say more? I will anyway. Really interesting game with great graphics, music and story. There's a bunch of hidden stuff, and patience is DEFINITELY required. I felt like an evil Scooby Doo playing. You NEED the Companion App that goes with this game for background information AND for something important later. Moderately difficult puzzles, but do-able. I recommend this game a million times 👍👌

This is a much needed "Companion" for year walk. it gives you background and much more. I don't want to give anything away, besides the fact that YOU NEED THIS. have fun with this app. Live long and....Or will you? its your choice.

Reading the companion before buying the game gave me a better understanding of the concept ! I advice every one to do the same ... Also ... Do not delete it before finishing the game ... You'll need it 😉

The concept is nice but execution is poor. Graphics is okay. Overall just walking a lot to solve puzzles that don't make sense to the story, just to scare you off. Totally not enough to ask for $3.99

I don't think I've ever seen anything more paranoia inducing than these apps. I didn't think I could be swayed to believe such things. But this...this got to me.

A brilliant app to accompany a brilliant game. The combination of the two apps provides a powerhouse experience unlike any other I've found on the platform. Well done, and well worth the money/download/time.

Awesome game I play it with the companion I just thought that I am a part of a story!

The main game has a very interesting and confusing story wich realy un folds when you read this I'm not going to tell you it but I will tell you a few things; keep going after the credits rember the code and don't brake the rules

If you are playing Year Walk, you need to download this app. The only way to complete the atmosphere and experience of the game is the download this app and read the entrees for each of the keepers.

This may look like just some extra info explaining the meaning behind the mythical creatures you encounter, but there is more! So much more! Do not ignore the ending to YEAR WALK! Read the post credits carefully, and "unlock" the secrets. You can only change the future by changing the past!

The base game had already done so many new and fascinating things with the medium of iOS and this only made it more so. Loved getting another view of the story and ultimately leading to a satisfying end.

Downloaded this after I beat Year Walk. Made for a much more satisfying ending and interesting second play through. Creative to hear where the ideas came from. Well done!

Puzzles I had to really work for. Never did figure out the box though. Was sad to be done! More?

The code will tell you everything about the back story of the game... It's a little creepy though. You get the code after you complete the game and watch the credits. I won't tell you what the code is but I will give you a hint: it's the year.

The title is like it says - it's a companion to the game that explains the folklore. There's even unlockable content for when you've finished the game. Good stuff.

Unique, beautiful

I finished Year Walk before I got the companion. It was cool learning about the creatures and reliving the game while reading about it. The code is in the game at the very very end of the game. It stresses you to remember the code so you can't miss it. I almost didn't read the notes, but man I'm soooo glad I did. Very chilling to say the least. It pulls everything together and it gives you the TRUE ending. Don't listen to the haters. Stick with it and immerse yourself in it. It pays off.

So cool, trust me. The login code is actually in the game, I think, just if u were wondering.

Now I have plans for this New Year's Eve.

This game is amazing. The game is perfect. The story is strong. The art is brilliant. It is Such a solid game and awesome app. It is short but it's amazing. I could not find I signal thing about Theodor Almsten , his books , his lecture or his short film

Wonderfully creepy!

This works well as its own piece, but doesn't make up for the shortness of the game. It gives so e good background on the characters involved, but I didn't care much for the researcher's experience.

Great Game very short for the price. I was expecting it to take me at least more than 2 weeks but it took me no more than 6 hours other than that the best thriller in a game I've ever seen!

The game is immersive and challenging. This companion is poorly written and full of errors. There's nothing like an unprofessional piece of writing to shorten your patience. This app could be so much more polished.

I loved the game. (Loved) and I was so enveloped in the ideas and mythology! Judging just the background information this is a great add on, however I thought the ending took away a bit of the magic. So, information about game 5 stars Figuring out the alternative ending 3.5 stars Alternative ending itself -2 stars I wouldn't recommend the alternative ending to a friend. But definitely great for the mythology.

The flow and movement through the app is just pure beauty, and it really helps understand the story.

Very interesting to find out where they got all these weird things from year walk from. Wish there were more things to lean about in it!
